Junior Lifeguard Program

Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club is hosting a Junior Life Guard program for 7 - 12 year olds. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Presented by a Royal Life Saving instructor over two mornings, children will learn basic survival and rescue skills, including:

Children will receive a certificate upon completion; however, this course does not provide children with an official life saving qualification.

Who can attend?

7- 12 year olds

This program is open to the general public.

***Children need to be reasonable swimmers and be confident in deep water where they cannot touch the bottom.***


This is an eight hour course conducted over two mornings, and participants should attend both sessions.

8AM - 12PM on Monday 11th December and 8AM - 12PM on Tuesday 12th December

Drop off and collection of children

Children must be signed in and out each day. Children can be signed in from 7:45AM. Children must be collected promptly at 12PM. Parents may choose to stay at the pool for the duration of the program; however, the pool complex does not have a play area, so children that are not participating in the program will not be permitted to stay except for drop off and collection.

Supervision of children

A maximum of 15 children can participate in this program. One Royal Life Saving Instructor and one parent representative from Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club will supervise participants. Both adults have a valid Blue Card.

Medical and Emergency Contact Form

A medical and emergency contact form must be returned prior to the commencement of the course. A form will be emailed to you soon after your booking has been received. Please return the completed form promptly.


The ticket price has been set to just cover costs. Refunds will not be given under any circumstances unless a suitable replacement can be found prior to the commencement of the program. You may transfer your ticket to another child who is 7 - 12 years old, is reasonable swimmer and is confident in deep water where they cannot touch the bottom. Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club must be informed of any ticket transfers via prcaclub@gmail.com. If you have difficulty finding a replacement, please contact Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club as there may be a waitlist.

2017-18 School Holiday Training

Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club will be offering squad training in the first, fifth and sixth week of the public school holidays. Skills Squad and Club Squad will be combined for Summer Holiday training. This will be revised if bookings exceed expectations. Training will occur Monday to Thursday, from 8 - 9AM in the following weeks: 11 - 14th December 2017 8th - 11th January 2018 15th - 18th January 2018

Water Safety Awareness for 4-7 Year Olds

Join us for a fun interactive session learning about water safety, presented by Royal Lifesaving Queensland from 3-4PM. There will be giveaways for children. After the Water Safety Awareness session, stick around for a free swim from 4 - 5PM! This event is for families associated with Pine Rivers Community Aquatics Club. Beyond the Black Line for 12-18 Year Old Girls

This event is open to all girls aged 12-18. All swimming clubs are welcome to attend, but girls do not need to swimmers to attend this program. The purpose of the program is to share experiences and normalise common issues faced by teenagers within our swimming community.
